


In this Dialect dictionary you will notice that at times a word in Dialect, Bokmål and Nynorsk is similar, but at other times the word is totally different. There are also dialects used in the cities, but “Bokmål” is the written language used in all of the cities, and “Nynorsk” is the written language used in all the rural areas of Norway. Throughout the rural area of Norway there are many dialects used.
